I am just looking for opinions here! ... But i think it is funny how i am of many races and it is visible in my apperance but i am always considered "BLACK" by others i do not know.... blacks rarely consider me black bcuz my hair is down my back.. they say black ppl don't have hair like mine... well damn right bcuz they don't take care of it!!! (they use fake sh**!!! not my fault!!!!)...but is it because there is light tan to my skin and i am not pale like some? i don't know! ... but my father is hispanic (noticabely) and my mother is african american, chinese, and indian... so you tell me! AND IF YOU CALL ME A MUTT I'LL PUNCH YOU IN YOU OVARIES!!!!! ...(just sayin! L0l.)
I'm just BLACK right??????????
I don't really understand your question, and I don't want to be punched in the ovaries... LOL. But I am of many different heritages too and people always ask me if I'm Czech (spelling), but I'm not at all! I'm Irish, Scottish, Dutch, Hungarian, English, Cherokee Indian, and Yugoslavian. They think just because of my facial features that I am from a completely different heritage. Drives me insane but at the same time I can't really let it bother me, some people are just stupid!
My opinion would be people are too quick to judge rather than either ask or mind their own business.
BTW I know other girls who are African American and Chinese, very beautiful girls. You are very lucky and should be extremely proud of your heritage (as I'm sure you are).
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Who cares
I'm just BLACK right??????????
I think you get to choose whatever race you want to call yourself. You sound very special and unique. I think the technical term is "mixed ethic background".
I'm just BLACK right??????????
I'd say your were beautiful and lucky to be blessed with such a mix!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....
I'm just BLACK right??????????
well what do u want to be considered?
its really up to u
I'm just BLACK right??????????
looks like you are a different mix of many nationalities, why must you group yourself with a race? Just be yourself, and if somebody asks what you are, just tell them what you told us.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
You don't sound black. I would say you are mixed. Maybe, if you are lighter skin, I would say you are bronze.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Lots of people get this and most people I know like this struggle to fit in with a group until they realize that they won't fit in if they try to identify themselves by ethnicity. Instead they stop trying to define their ethnicity, realizing that they are unique, and instead fit in with people based on personality.
I think you're unique and I personally think mixed backgrounds are great and full of interesting stories.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
You are human. Be proud of your heritage and don't ever feel that you have to justify "what" you are to anyone :)
I'm just BLACK right??????????
why do you care! am Eritrean (for most of you who don't know what that is. its east of Africa above Ethiopia) an i have never been consider black either. but when you think about it iam more black then they are them self. but see i cant say that. so i go about my day not giving a rat *** about what racial identity i am. so i suggest you do the same or your gonna be in this identity crisis..you feel me! well good luck.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Sounds like you have some issues with your ownn identity. Why worry about classifying yourself, make your own identity and embrace it. You are one of a kind a mix of multiple races you are unique.
May I be the first to suggest taking the time to educate yourself on some issues. First, you might find that "black" hair grows in a curly fashion and not straight as "whites" so this is sometimes why it is not as long as whites. Not everyone who is black has fake hair, or is not taking care of it. Obviously, black hair is courser and white is finer causing one to grow faster than another. Second, check w/ your parents on what they identify with and what they think you are. Do some research, there are proably more people out ther like yourself. Third, love yourself.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
You are multicultural and that's it. Noting more and nothing less.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
my hair is down my back and i get the same crap. they automatically ask me "what are you mixed with" i'm like nothing man. the closest i am to being mixed is my grandma being native american. and that is not mixed. like black people can't have long hair or something
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Because people are stuck on the old rule that says if you have ONE drop of black blood in you, then you are black.
Think back to the slavery days because thats where this all stems from. When slave masters had children with slaves, even though the child had some white in them, they were still not accepted because they had black blood.
I'm not saying it's right, but that's how some people still think, blacks and whites.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
I just say i'm "Black" to keep it simple. Really, there's Native American and Caucasian (Polish) in my bloodline, as well. Back in the day.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
I'm German and Irish and my ex is Spanish and Cherokee and our children are BEAUTIFUL and so are you
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Maybe call yourself American?
I'm just BLACK right??????????
First of all Black women can grow there hair just fine no matter your ethnic background it just depends on how well you take care of it, everyone knows that . Second not all black women wear weaves or synthetic hair of any type. Thirdly, what your made up of racially does not define you as a person. For instance, I'm of Native American, African American and Carribean American descent. I consider myself all of that I am because I'm proud of who I am, ( Not implying that you aren't) Which brings me to my next point, I consider myself Brown skin or Brown simply because I am of a chocolate complexion not based on my racial up bringing.
P.S. In the near future could you please stop downing Black women about our hair, because like I said not ALL of us wear weaves. I myself have always had Wavy curly hair and people still believe to this day that I'm not pure Black. What folks don't realize is that Black people of African descent can have hair that range from tight curls all the way to bone straight, natural hair.
Yes, it's true not all people of African descent have unmanageable hair and hair that they can't grow. Goodness the things people say.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
You are whatever you think you are. You sound multiracial. You also sound like you have to get out more. I know plenty of black people (Africans, actually) who look just the way you described yourself.
I'm just BLACK right??????????
Your Multi-racial if you have more than one race in your bloodline that doesn't make you a one race. i.e if somebody has a asian parent and a white parent, they would be considered mixed race not just asian or white. That would be indenial. Secondly, black people CAN GROW THERE HAIR i'm black of mixed origin and my hair was lenghty before i cut and styled it. I used to get the same ''you must be mixed crap'' yes my heritage is.....not all black wear fake hair to obtain length that's narrowminded.
