How can I convince my dad....?

To let me dye my hair black? Ever since I was in second grade, I've wanted jet black hair.

I asked my mom, and she said I could if it was okay with my dad. I asked him, and he said,"If you don't take care of your hair now, why would you take care of it if it was black?"

He doesn't understand that I actually try to take care of my hair. My hair used to be long and curly, then I woke up one day and it was bushy and frizzy. I finally got the frizz in front under control, and I almost got the bushiness in the back under control (I did get a short haircut last year to see what happened, except I looked like the 4th stooge).

SO....how can I convince my dad I do take care of my hair, so he'll let me dye my hair black? (By the way-if I did dye my hair black, I would also probably get it relaxed or something.)

How can I convince my dad....?

I know exactly what you mean. My hair was really curly and frizzy back in middle school. My mom wouldn't let me dye my hair until I was 18. My sister started straightening my hair, and that tamed it a bit. But I didn't start getting it REALLY under control until I was 18 years old.

I started using Lorel Vive for dry and damaged hair. And when get out of the shower I use a garnier clear serum for frizzy hair. And use a Chi hair straightener. And now it looks like I have normal "white girl" hair. It's great...wish I knew that when I was 14.

So once you start finding better ways of doing your hair and taking care of it you can ask your dad again if you can dye it

Hope this helped.

u sure it's gonna look good on u?

Just do it, but make sure u do it at a salon, not yourself at home.

Maybe your mom could talk to him. It's just dye--it'll grow out.

My son went through the same thing--he wanted blonde hair so I let him go ahead and dye it and get it out of his system. Hopefully your dad will see it that way. Good luck!

How can I convince my dad....?

maybe try the "wash out" kind first try it out make sure its what you really want and your dad will see how good it looks and maybe lean more your way

How can I convince my dad....?

what planet are you living in and what's the point about your dad not letting you . that's really strange

How can I convince my dad....?

I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you. I have the same problem with my daughter. I todl her she COULD get teh highlights she wants BUT she had to start taking care of her hair first.

How can I convince my dad....?

remind your dad that hair grows back and you're not asking to dye your skin orange or blue....just your hair...or..you could compromise with him and get hair dye that is semi permanent and if you decide you like it then you can dye it permanently

How can I convince my dad....?

There are temporary dyes available that will wash out in a few weeks.

I would ease your dad into this, ask him if he would be more comfortable with you dying it temporarily. If he agrees take him with you to buy the dye or have it done. Get him involved in the decisions so that he doesn't feel like an outsider.

How can I convince my dad....?

well it depends how old you are first to be honest but I think if your about 13/14 or over then just so it behind his back, i know its wrong but he cant undo it when its done

How can I convince my dad....?

Don't even try to convence him until you can control what you a;ready have because changing hair color will NOT get rid of the 'bushy/frizzy' issues.

If you think changing color will make it relaxed ............. then you're much too young to even understand how to take care of hair!!!

How can I convince my dad....?

try your best to take care of your hair and make it straight even try salons and then that would prbly convince him if not either rebel or obey
