I usually wear my hair in braids and want to start swimming as my workout. I have heard that the chlroine is bad for your hair, is there a special shampoo to wash braids to remove the chlorine ... or will I be okay just wearing a swim cap.

A swim cap is just fine, but it doesn't completely protect your hair from the chemicals. You should condition your hair after each visit.

you cant keep your braids forever! I had braids a few years ago and i took them out.. You gotta wash your hair sooner or later..

u should wash your hair after you go to the pool, but washing it makes it look tooo frizzy so u should braid the braids in about for huge braids to keep it from frizzing in the pool

You dont need to wear a cap because either way it goes your hair is going to get wet. The most important thing to do is to put the braids into a low pony tail. (Dont put the braids in a high pony tail because the water will weigh the braids, and your hair, dow). You don't want the water to weigh the braids down, then the braids will weigh your own hair down, which might cause breakage at the roots. Braid the pony tail into one big braid or a couple of braids, and tie the ends together with a small scrunchy or large rubber band.

After swimming, wash braids, gently, as if they were your natural hair. Pat dry them with a towel.
