I am Blk/Azn from the suburbs and I notice that a lot of suburban blks get hounded on bc of our hair or lack of doing it properly, but we tend to have better bodies than our counterparts who grew up elsewhere.

Is it whatever you value?

I believe the girls in the suburbs are more likely to keep their hair natural. The girls in the hood use weave and fake stuff a lot more. Supposedly, we're supposed to think that using weave and fake crap is "taking better care of our hair". This is bullsh*t. Taking care of your hair includes YOUR hair first of all. So those in the suburbs that do the daily work to take care of their own hair get much love from me.

The girls in the hood are more likely to be fatter than their counterparts in the burbs. This is because they have poorer food choices and less activities to partake in. There is also more education available in the upkeep of the body in the burbs.

The above isn't meant to be my opinion of "all", but only the ones we are speaking of.

Whattt? I don't get this question at all. Hair is hair and it looks good depending on how well you take care of it.

That hair thing has so much to do with a loss of identity. The fashions and chemicals in use that have been derived from other cultures do not help either. There has always been more natural healthy ways to treat the hair of black people. Apart from all that, it is whatever you value to some degree. I bet you are beautiful and have a nice petite frame. Ahahaha, are you kidding? I see a lot of Black suburban woman with hair down their backs, but were I live it's usually natural/textured. Now I've been to the city and I've seen nothing but "relaxers gone wrong" and their hair looks burnt. Ether that or extensions. You may not have flashy fake hair but you probably have natural hair and it looks good. Black woman have every right to do what they want with their hair, but in my opinion they look better with textured/natural hair.

hey hun i'm blasian also!!!lol anyway i think we take better care of OUR hair..i mean all that weave and crap is just like "what? what is that?!?!" and my parents cook homecooked meals and many suburban families also have homecooked meals instead of KFC every night or other bought food...that makes a difference as well..

as far as value idk what you are talking about? value should be in a person and not where they are from okay?

first of all i've never heard of an indictment being served on blk plp for doing their hair improperly unless it was by other blks and even then it is all subjective. And yes it is a value call because the value is given base upon what you like verses what others like.
